There are 3 main ways to get around Edinburgh. By foot, by bus or by tram. Edinburgh is not very big, and if you are in the main part of the city, walking will be an easy way to get around. Most of all the big sights will be within walking distance of each other. If you want to explore areas such as Stockbridge, Bruntsfield, Leith, and more then getting the bus will be the best option. The buses run extremely often and are very convenient in Edinburgh. Whereas the tram only goes to very specific places and helps get to and from the airport. You can find more information on the bus timetables here. As well as more information on the trams here.
